Coleman Camping Stoves
The name Coleman stirs up memories of camping as a kid in the '70s and '80s with my family more than any other single word. There are so many great companies that have come along since Coleman began making stoves for the Army in WWII, but none of those have the same nostalgia attached.
That in itself is not remotely a good reason to go out and buy Coleman camping gear, I admit. But, if you take a look at just about any site that does reviews for camping gear, you will very likely find something from Coleman on their "Best" of lists even if it is the "Best budget-friendly" due to the build quality.
For me and my family, we have some gear from Coleman that has been with us since we have been camping with 2 of 3 kids now in college. We have camped in national parks, dispersed camping, state park campgrounds and the backyard.
The purpose of this article is to simply compile a representation of camping stoves that Coleman offers to help you camp. Its not exhaustive, believe it or not, there are more options. For affordable outdoor gear that lasts, we believe Coleman has a lot to offer to get you and your family outside and camping. And, that is our goal.

Slightly larger than the Classic propane stove, this one will give you a bit more room for the cook set you have without needing to buy anything new. I bit more back and eggs all going at the same time makes shorter work of meals when everyone has that look in their eyes. Satisfy them by being able to use larger pots.

What We Like
Ok, I know what I said before, so, add 33% more to the above summary and you will know what I will say here. Its bigger, hotter and a neat sage green color. If I would have had this option sitting in front of me when I purchased my double, two burner, model 13 years ago, I would have gotten it. "Look forward to hindsight" is my standard saying and it applies here. Why not get a three burner? (about 10% more cost...) And, get as close to that "Home stove" experience as possible.

Now we are getting to the good stuff. There is nothing like hiking up a mountain and camping at elevation. The views and sense of accomplishment make the effort well worth the exertion. When the Peak1 line came out in the early 1990's, I was working in a sporting goods store. A stove almost identical to this one was the first purchase I made for camping gear not too long after high school. It still works. Being able to control the pressure allows it to operate at the altitudes I now live and hike in so you can use snow for boiled water. And, like the other dual fuel above, it used less fuel and is much more fuel efficient.
